Louisiana, Michigan, and New Jersey Surpass Washington

Here's the morbid tally for the day.  

Washington State, which had its first death in February (weeks before other states), has now been surpassed by New Jersey, Louisiana, and Michigan in terms of total deaths.  These three states have a trajectory like New York's right now.

Meanwhile, the United States as a whole continues to increase quickly, and, if current trends continue for a week, our deaths will surpass Italy's.
